What is a Periodic Inspection (PIR)?

A PIR is an inspection of the condition of an electrical installation to identify any faults in accordance with the national safety standard for electrical installations.

Why would I need to have a Periodic Inspection?

Every electrical installation deteriorates with age. It is essential that they are maintained in order to ensure the safety of staff or family members. Legislation and most insurances require that all electrical installations are kept in a safe working condition.

How much will it cost?

As a rough guide you would look to pay £200 for a standard 2-3 bedroom house with up to 6 circuits. For each circuit over 6 a maximum of £25 will be charged. This includes certification.
